| SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - CARTER HIGH PARENT CONFERENCES IN FEBRUARY | ||
| Parents of Carter High students should keep an eye out for information about an important meeting that can be a big help as students plan their remaining high school careers. Carter High Parent Student Advisor Conferences are a new strategy to help students and their parents plan their course schedules in a way that keeps the students on track toward graduation. These conferences, scheduled for February 11, 15 and 16, involve both students and parents, along with the students' homeroom advisors. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will meet to discuss their four-year plan and begin to register for classes next year. Seniors will discuss a timeline of events leading up to graduation. They will also review any fees owed or other obligations that need to be taken care of before graduating. Starting in February, homeroom advisors will be calling parents with information regarding the conferences. Appointments are available in twenty-minute intervals from 4-7 p.m. "While all appointments are mandatory, we want to make it an enjoyable evening for the family by offering door prize drawings and other activities," said Cheri Bell, graduation coach. Parents can schedule an appointment by calling the main office at 933-3434. A postcard reminder will be mailed with appointment information. |
